Terms & Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions apply to the short-term holiday rental agreement be between Wainsford Riverside Cottages (“Us”) and the person making the booking (“You” or “Your”) and all members of Your party (“Party”).
Booking
A provisional booking is secured on receipt of a completed booking form and deposit, which is 25% of the total fee due and must be paid within 7 days of the reservation. After that unsecured reservations become available to the market again.
Payment of the balance is payable no later than 6 weeks prior to arrival. Payment in full is required with completed booking form if booking is made within 6 weeks of Arrival date.
Payment Details
Payments can be made via bank transfer.
Cancellation & Refunds
Cancellations must be immediately notified to us by email and will be acknowledged upon receipt.  Should you cancel your reservation within 12 weeks of the arranged arrival day, you will be liable for the full outstanding balance should we be unable to re-let the accommodation.

Please note, a £50 Booking Fee will be deducted from any Refund due prior to making payment. Guests are therefore advised to obtain cancellation insurance.

Accommodation
All properties are non-smoking.
Accommodation is available from 4pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. Alternative entry times may be possible depending on availability, please ask no sooner than a week prior to the Arrival date.
We require the names of ALL guests staying in the Cottages prior to arrival. The maximum number of guests per cottage must not be exceeded.
On arrival, we provide a welcome pack, including tea, coffee, milk and biscuits.
Please bring your own beach towels/cot bedding/bath mat etc. as required.
The accommodation must be handed back in good clean condition. We reserve the right to charge for any damages or losses however caused.
Children and Dogs
Children and dogs must be supervised by a responsible adult at ALL times, due to the proximity of standing and fast flowing water.
Dogs
Dogs may be accepted (at our discretion – subject to site limits) at a cost of £20 per stay. You and your dog are asked to abide by our Dog Code.
Fishing
All those fishing are required by law to hold a current Full Environment Agency Rod Licence. You are reminded that your Rod Licence must be presented to us prior to fishing.
In addition to statutory byelaws we abide by many of the Fowey Rivers Association’s conservation measures which are subject to change without notice.
Pandemic
Guests showing signs of COVID-19 during their stay are required to go for a test. The result of this test must be disclosed to us immediately. If positive (or if there is insufficient time for a test to be undertaken and results to be received) then the affected Guest and their Party must vacate the Cottage and return home as soon as is safe and practical to do so. If for any reason that it is not possible, and self-isolation is required to take place at Wainsford, ALL fees for ALL bookings affected by this self-isolation will be borne by you.

Liability
If for any reason we are unable to fulfil the Booking, liability shall be limited to a full refund of monies paid to us in relation to the Booking.
Every effort is made to ensure that all amenities advertised are available, but no liability will be accepted for any omissions or changes.
We shall not be held responsible or liable for any loss or damage personal property of any kind or personal injury to, or death of, anyone or animal of any age who is resident, guest, visitor or their servant or agent, irrespective of how sustained, occasioned or caused.
General
The agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
